Jersey Boys sees Clint Eastwood return to the director's chair this summer, as he tackles the musical for the first time.

The movie is based on the Tony Award winning musical of the same name, and follows the rose of The Four Seasons.

John Lloyd Young will reprise his Tony Award winning portrayal of Frankie Vallie, while Erich Bergen, Michael Lomenda and Vincent Piazza will play Bob Gaudio, Nick Massi and Tommy DeVito.

Eastwood has delivered movie such as Gran Torino, Invictus, Changeling and Hereafter in recent years, but this is set to be a completely different challenge for the filmmaker.

The film tells the story of four young men from the wrong side of the tracks in New Jersey who came together to form the iconic 1960s rock group The Four Seasons.

The story of their trials and triumphs are accompanied by the songs that influenced a generation, including Sherry, Big Girls Don’t Cry, Walk Like a Man, Dawn, Rag Doll, Bye Bye Baby, Who Loves You.

Jersey Boys is released 20th June.
