If you are looking for a comedy to enjoy on the big screen this December then look no further than Grandma as Lily Tomlin is winning great reviews for her central performance.
This is Tomlin's first leading role in nearly thirty years as she plays Elle Reid, who is trying to cope with the death of her long-term partner. The movie sees the actress team up with writer and director Paul Weitz for the first time.
Grandma is the first time that we have seen Weitz in the director's chair since Admission back in 2013 - he has brought us films such as About a Boy and American Pie during his career.
The brand new trailer for the film has arrived and we have it for you to take a look at:
A terrific cast has been assembled for the film as Tomlin is joined by Julia Garner, Marcia Gay Harden, Judy Greer, Laverne Cox, Nat Wolff, and Sam Elliott.
Elle Reid (Tomlin) has just gotten through breaking up with her girlfriend when her granddaughter Sage (Garner) unexpectedly shows up needing 600 dollars before sundown.
Temporarily broke, Grandma Elle and Sage spend the day trying to get their hands on the cash as their unannounced visits to old friends and flames end up rattling skeletons and digging up secrets.
If festive films and blockbusters aren't really your thing at this time of year, Grandma could well be the movie for you this December.
Grandma is released 11th December.
