Who read Goosebumps growing up as a kid? I know I did and the popular books have been adapted for the big screen for the first time.

Goosebumps

Goosebumps

I have to admit, Goosebumps is a 2016 film that I am already looking forward to and the brand new trailer for the movie has finally arrived:

Goosebumps marks the return of Rob Letterman to the director's chair for the first time since Gulliver's Travels for what will be the fourth feature film of his career.

The movie also sees him reunite with actor Jack Black as the funnyman takes on the central role of author R.L. Stine.

The cast is a mix of up and coming stars as well as established talent as Halston Sage, Dylan Minnette, Odeya Rush, and Amy Ryan are just some of the names that will be starring alongside Black.

The movie is based on the books by Stine - it is exciting to see the author depicted in the film - while Darren Lemke has penned the screenplay.

Upset about moving from a big city to a small town, teenager Zach Cooper (Minnette) finds a silver lining when he meets the beautiful girl, Hannah (Rush), living right next door. But every silver lining has a cloud, and Zach's comes when he learns that Hannah has a mysterious dad who is revealed to be R. L. Stine (Jack Black), the author of the bestselling Goosebumps series.

It turns out that there is a reason why Stine is so strange... he is a prisoner of his own imagination - the monsters that his books made famous are real, and Stine protects his readers by keeping them locked up in their books. When Zach unintentionally unleashes the monsters from their manuscripts and they begin to terrorize the town, it's suddenly up to Stine, Zach, and Hannah to get all of them back in the books where they belong.

Goosebumps is released February 2016.
