Crimson Peak is one of the autumn movies that I cannot wait to see and a brand new poster for the film has been unveiled.
Crimson Peak will see Tom Hiddleston, Mia Wasikowska and Jessica Chastain take on the main roles of Sir Thomas Sharpe, Edith Cushing, and Lady Lucille Sharpe and they take centre stage in this new piece of artwork.
Charlie Hunnam, Burn Gorman, and Doug Jones complete the exciting cast list and the movie marks the return of Guillermo del Toro to the director's chair.
Del Toro has been behind movies such as the Devil's Backbone, Hellboy, and Pan's Labyrinth during his career but this is his first feature since Pacific Rim back in the summer of 2013.
No director is better at gothic horror than de Toro and I cannot wait to see him back in the director's chair and returning to this exciting genre. Del Toro has also teamed up with Matthew Robbins to pen the screenplay.
Crimson Peak marks the first time that Hiddleston and Wasikowska have worked with de Toro, while Chastain worked on Mama, which was produced by the filmmaker.
2015 has been a quiet film year for Hiddleston as this is his first role since Muppets Most Wanted last year. We haven't see much of Wasikowska either as she returns for the first time since Maps to the Stars.
Chastain has already enjoyed success with A Most Violent Year in 2015 and Crimson Peak is one of the autumn movies we are going to see her star in - Ridley Scott sci-fi film The Martian is the other.
When her heart is stolen by a seductive stranger, a young woman is swept away to a house atop a mountain of blood-red clay: a place filled with secrets that will haunt her forever. Between desire and darkness, between mystery and madness, lies the truth behind Crimson Peak.
Crimson Peak is released 16th October.
