Jon Favreau is set to return to the big screen and the director’s chair with his new comedy film Chef.
Chef will show off the many talents of Favreau as he has penned the screenplay, as well as directing and starring in the film. This will be Favreau’s first directorial outing since Cowboys & Aliens.
Favreau takes centre stage in the brand new poster, and was revealed by Eater.
A great cast has been assembled for the film, as Favreau is joined by Dustin Hoffman, Sofia Vergara, John Leguizamo, Scarlett Johansson and Robert Downy Jr.
Chef Carl Casper (Favreau) suddenly quits his job at a prominent Los Angeles restaurant after refusing to compromise his creative integrity for its controlling owner (Hoffman), he is left to figure out what’s next.
Finding himself in Miami, he teams up with his ex-wife (Vergara), his friend (Leguizamo) and his son to launch a food truck. Taking to the road, Chef Carl goes back to his roots to reignite his passion for the kitchen — and zest for life and love.
Chef is released 18th June.
