Neil Marshall says he would love to shoot a Black Widow movie.
Black Widow is yet to receive her own solo film, but will be back on the big screen next year with Avengers: Age of Ultron.
However, there are many rumblings about the possibility of a solo film for the character - played by Scarlett Johansson - and Marshall says he would be interested.
Speaking to Vanity Fair, the director said: "I would love to do a Black Widow movie. That’s perfect, I would love to do that.
"That character is really interesting, she doesn’t have any superpowers, she just has extraordinary skills, and the world that she comes from, being this ex-K.G.B. assassin, I find that really fascinating, yeah."
Johansson has enjoyed box office success with Black Widow this year, appearing in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
The movie went on to gross over $714 million at the global box office: it is the fourth highest grossing movie of the year so far.
As for Marshall, Centurion was his last movie, but he has been working in TV with Black Sails and Game of Throne.
The director is currently film new TV series Constantine with matt Ryan and Miles Anderson.
