James Gunn has hinted that Nebula is going to be a 'huge character' in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2.
Karen Gillan is set to reprise the role of Nebula in the highly anticipated sequel to the 2014 critical and commercial hit.
And while Gunn, who is back in the director's chair, is keeping most things about the film to himself, he did take to Twitter to answer some fan questions about the upcoming film.
This will be the first time that we have seen Gunn in the director's chair since the success of Guardians of the Galaxy and I am looking forward to seeing where he takes the story and these popular characters next.
As well as being in the director's chair, Gunn has also adapted Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning's comic book into a screenplay.
Karen Gillan is not the only familiar face on the cast list as Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Glenn Close, and Michael Rooker will be back as Peter Quill, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, Groot, Nova Prime, and Yondu.
There have been no official announcements about the new faces on the cast list, but the likes of Sylvester Stallone, Kurt Russell, and Elizabeth Debicki have all been linked to the sequel.
Guardians of the Galaxy grossed over $773 when it was released back in 2014, making it the third-highest-grossing film of the year and the most successful Marvel film of 2014.
There has been a lot of excitement building for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 and is looks set to be one of the biggest movies of 2017.
It will be the first of three Marvel films next year and will be followed by Spider-Man: Homecoming and Thor: Ragnarok.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 is released 28th April 2017.
