Nathan Fillion is set to make a cameo appearance in Guardians of the Galaxy, according to James Gunn.
Fillion had previous been linked to the role of Star Lord before Chris Pratt landed the part, but he will still be involved with the film.
Gunn took to Twitter over the weekend responding to a post, saying: @nathanfillion has a very small fun cameo he did as a favour to me."
However, it has not been revealed what role the actor will play during his cameo.
Gunn is in the director's chair for Guardians of the Galaxy, and is the second Marvel film to hit the big screen in 2015.
Pratt takes on the central role, while Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Karen Gillan and Benicio del Toro are all on board.
Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters was the last time that we saw Fillion on the big screen, as he continues to focus on his role in TV series Castle.
Guardians of the Galaxy is released 31st July.
