Nathan Fillion says he will not be playing Ant-Man in the Edgar Wright directed Marvel film.
Ant-Man is a film that has been in the pipeline for some time and it is not expected to receive a 2015 release.
And it seems that fans of the comic book would like the Firefly/Serenity actor to take on the central role.
Speaking to IGN the actor said: "I will not be playing Ant-Man.
"I'm pretty booked-up right now as far as work goes, and there's so much more going on in the entertainment industry than just, 'Oh, you know who would be great in that?' There's a lot more that comes into play."
Fillion was back on the big screen earlier this month as he reunited with Joss Whedon for Much Ado About Nothing.
He has also lent his voice to Monsters University - a film that has just stormed to the top of the U.S. box office - and he will appear in Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters.
As for Ant-Man no casting announcements have been made for the film.
