Mr Peabody & Sherman has climbed to the top of the U.S. box office in its second week of release.

The latest film from Dreamworks Animation lost out last week to 300: Rise of an Empire, but jumped over the sequel to 300 this weekend to claim the top spot.

The film took $21,2 million over the weekend, as it continues to perform well around the world.

300: Rise of An Empire dropped just a single place to two, after just a week as America's top film.

Need For Speed was this week's highest entry, as it opened at number three. Starring Aaron Paul and Dominic Cooper, the movie is based on the big computer game.

Former number One Non Stop fell just one place to four, while Tyler Perry's The Single Mums Club was new in at five.

The Lego Movie fell out of the top five this week, as it dropped two places from four to six. Son of God was also down two at seven.

The Grand Budapest Hotel was this week's biggest climber, as it jumped from seventeen to eight over the weekend.

Frozen slipped just one place from eight to nine, while Veronica Mars was the third and final new entry at ten.
