Simon Pegg says there's more to Star Trek Beyond than just action.
We were treated to the first Star Trek Beyond trailer earlier this week and Pegg, who is reprising the role of Scotty in the film, admits that he is not a huge fan of the teaser.
Speaking to HeyUGuys, Pegg urged Star Trek fans to be patient as the new film is not all about action sequences. He said: "It was very action packed, it was surprising.
"I find it to be the marketing people saying, 'Everybody come and see this film, it's full of action and fun', when there's a lot more to it than that. I didn't love it because I know there's a lot more to the film.
"There's a lot more story and a lot more character stuff and a lot more, what I would call, 'Star Trek stuff'. To Star Trek fans, I would say: hang in there, be patient."
Star Trek Beyond will be the third time that we have seen Pegg take on the role of Scotty as he reunites with Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, and Zoe Saldana - who are back as Kirk, Spock, Bones, and Uhura.
As well as being on the cast list of Star Trek Beyond, Pegg has also teamed up with Doug Jung, Roberto Orci, John D. Payne, and Patrick McKay to pen the screenplay.
Idris Elba is the big new addition to the cast list while Justin Lin takes over the director's chair from J.J. Abrams. Lin is no stranger to the blockbuster genre as he already has a number of Fast & Furious films under his belt.
Pegg is back on the big screen this week as he makes an appearance in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. He is also set to return to the Ice Age franchise as he brings the character of Buck to life in Ice Age: Collision Course.
Star Trek Beyond is released 22nd July 2016.
