Ben Affleck reveals that we are going to see more 'gallows humour' from Batman in the upcoming Justice League film.
Filming on Justice League is already underway and will see Affleck reprise the role of Bruce Wayne, a character we were introduced to in Batman v Superman earlier this year.
And not only are we going to see more humour with this character, Affleck reveals that Batman is a man on a 'mission' in this new film.
Speaking to journalists on set (via BirthMoviesDeath), the actor said: "Yeah, he's a little bit more sardonic, humor, a little more irony. He's a little more of a man on a mission this time. As opposed to being so full of anger because of what happened at the Black Zero Event. That kind of rage that possessed him.
"And now he's on a mission to get this group together. To constitute this League. But, more of his, that sort of Bruce Wayne, wry, ironic gallows humor comes out. He's not like a 'haha' jokey, but that sort of stuff comes out a little bit. A bit of, his sort of darker humor stuff is present."
Justice League will see Affleck reunite with filmmaker Zack Snyder, while Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, J.K. Simmons, Jeremy Irons, Jason Momoa, and Amber Heard will make up the impressive cast list.
This will be the first time that the Justice League has been brought together on the big screen and will follow on from the success of Man of Steel and Batman v Superman in recent years.
As for Affleck, we are also going to see him star in a solo Batman movie going forward - which he may also direct.
Justice League is released 17th November 2017.
