Jeremy Renner in The Bourne Legacy
There will be more Bourne movies in the future according to Adam Fogelson, chairman of Universal Pictures.
Last summer we saw the franchise go down a different path as Jeremy Renner introduced audiences to a new central character after Matt Damon stepped down from the lead role.
Since the release of the film Damon has hinted that he might like to return to the role of Jason Bourne while there have also been suggestions that Damon and Renner could team up.
While Fogelson didn't give away any specific plans Universal have for the franchise it seems that we will be seeing more films in the future.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter Fogelson said: "I absolutely see us doing more Bourne, 100% yes.
"Matt has talked about the possibility of coming back, and we totally respect that and are excited if and when he wants to have conversations.
"I think the last movie gave us a big bunch of options to pursue a next chapter."
In September 2012 it was confirmed that there would be a sequel to The Bourne Legacy
