Mireille Enos has been approached about a 'World War Z' sequel.
The actress played the wife of Brad Pitt's Gerry Lane in the post-apocalyptic zombie thriller and has revealed she has had talks with producers about a rumoured second film.
She told Collider.com: "Right now, I don't know how deep the conversations are going. I've definitely been approached to say, 'This is a real conversation that is happening', and I'd be thrilled [to do it]."
Earlier this month, leading man and producer Pitt confirmed plans for a sequel to the hit summer blockbuster.
He said: "We're certainly talking about it, yes. We have so many ideas on the table from the time we spent developing this thing and figuring out how the zombie worlds work. We gotta get the script right first to determine if we go further."
The big budget movie's production was hampered by rumours of expensive re-shoots and a ballooning budget, and critics were quick to brand the film "troubled".
However, 'World War Z' proved to be both a critical and box office hit, grossing more than $500 million worldwide.
Enos admits the film's success feels like "sweet revenge" following the negativity ahead of its release.
She explained: "It is not uncommon for movies to have rewrites and re-shoots. For whatever reason, this just became a pet movie for people to just be petty about. So, when it came out and it was just this awesome monster of a movie, it was exciting, especially because we all just loved it so much."
