This year (2022) has a great number of movies coming out, meaning a lot of trailers, and Universal Pictures have recently released the trailer to an all-new cinematic adventure the whole family will love...
Minions: The Rise of Gru is set to release this July, and should be a total riot!
Long before he was ever the master of evil, Gru (Steve Carell) is only a 12-year-old boy, living in 1970s suburbia, planning to take over the whole world from his childhood basement.
However, Gru’s plan isn't exactly going as well as he planned, so when he comes across the Minions, namely Kevin, Stuart, Bob and Otto (a new minion), the unexpected family decides to work together.
As a team, the Minions and Gru work together to build their first ever evil lair, create their first weapons, and attempt their first evil missions.
Then, when the villainous supergroup, the Vicious 6, oust their leader - legendary martial artist Wile Knuckles (Alan Arkin) - Gru auditions to be their newest member.
Unfortunately for Gru, the group’s biggest fan, his heroes are unimpressed by him. Gru decides to take matters into his own hands by outsmarting (and angering) them, suddenly finding himself their enemy.
While Gru must avoid the Vicious 6, the Minions try to master kung fu in order to save him. Gru then learns that, no matter how evil you are, you sometimes need a little help from your friends.
Minions: The Rise of Gru stars a brilliant new cast, including, the Vicious 6: Taraji P. Henson plays cool and confident leader Belle Bottom, whose chain belt doubles as a lethal disco-ball mace; and Jean-Claude Van Damme as the nihilistic Jean Clawed, who’s armed (literally) with a giant robotic claw.
Lucy Lawless is Nunchuck, whose traditional nun’s habit hides her deadly nun-chucks; Dolph Lundgren as Swedish roller-skate champion Svengeance, who dispenses his enemies with spin kicks from his spiked skates; and Danny Trejo is Stronghold, whose giant iron hands are both a menace to others and a burden to him, rounds out the cast.
Minions: The Rise of Gru will be in cinemas on July 1st, 2022.
