Miles Teller says he looks at the script and the director when picking his movie projects.
Teller will be back on the big screen next week with comedy That Awkward Moment; a film that sees him team up with Zac Efron and Michael B. Jordan.
That Awkward Moment kicks off a busy year for the actor, as he has a whole host of exciting and varied projects in the pipeline.
Speaking to Collider, the actor said: "The script, really. That’s the most important thing. I think George Clooney said, ‘You can make a bad movie out of a good script, but you can’t make a good movie out of a bad script,’ and really, that’s the outline.
"And I mean that it is an outline, it’s a very important outline, and then from there it’s the director. The movies that I’m most proud of, I can look and I can directly say that’s because this director is really incredible.
"So for me, getting to a point where I am starting to have more work come out, I am getting to a stage where I guess I can kind of attach myself to a project and right now I’m just searching."
Tom Gormican is making his directorial debut with That Awkward Moments - he has also penned the screenplay.
As for Teller, he will be back on the big screen later this spring as he takes on the role of Peter in Divergent.
He has also completed work on Two Night Stand, and has been linked to a role in the new Fantastic Four film.
That Awkward Moment is released 29th January.
