Michelle Pfeiffer says that Robert De Niro is an actor who puts his co-stars at ease on the set of a film.
Pfeiffer reunited with De Niro earlier this month for The Family, a movie that saw the actors play husband and wife.
However, the actress admits that despite De Niro’s success and iconic status he has no ego when he steps onto the set to work.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz, Pfeiffer said: "He's a classic example of someone who's iconic and effortlessly puts actors at ease the moment you meet him.
“You just show up to the set and you're part of a team and working together and supporting each other, and if everybody shows up with that attitude then everybody has a great time and the work is better as well."
Pfeiffer has previously starred with De Niro in Stardust and New Year’s Eve, but this is the first time that the actors will have shared screen time together.
The Family sees Luc Besson return to the director’s chair, while Dianna Agron, John D’Leo and Tommy Lee Jones are also on the cast list.
The movie follows a mob family who are forced to go into witness protection - however, it seems that old habits die hard.
Over the last few years, we have seen Pfeiffer work sparingly with just New Year’s Eve, Dark Shadows and People Like Us under her belt from the beginning of 2011.
She has been linked to a role in Man Under, a film that will see Oscar winning actor Tim Robbins returns to the director’s chair.
The Family is out now.
