Michael Shannon says that Man of Steel is 'going to blow everybody's socks off.
The actor takes on the role of General Zod as the Superman story is given a revamp by director Zack Snyder and he says that we are not going to be disappointed.
Speaking to the Huffington Post the actor said: "It’s a big buildup. I’ll tell you, I saw it last Monday - it’s worth it...It’s going to blow everybody’s socks off.
"And I know they’re probably pissed off, like I’m jinxing it or something and I shouldn’t say that.
"I’ll knock on wood just out of deference to the gods, but the movie is solid. It’s gonna get the job done."
Shannon is not the only great name on the cast list as Henry Cavill, Amy Adams and Russell Crowe are also on board.
Another Shannon movie to watch out for this year is The Iceman as he takes on the role of Richard Kuklinski in the true story of the contract killer.
Man of Steel is released 14th June.
