Michael Keaton has revealed that has been talking to director Tim Burton about the possibility of a second Beetlejuice film.
Keaton took on the title role of Beetlejuice back in 1988, his first in a trio of projects with the then up and coming filmmaker Burton.
There has been a lot of talk about a possible second Beetlejuice film over the last year, but it looks now that it could well be on the cards.
Speaking to MTV, Keaton said: "I've e-mailed Tim a couple of times, talked to the writer a couple of times, but all really, really preliminary stuff.
"I always said that's the one thing I'd like to do again, if I ever did anything again. But it kind of required Tim to be involved in some way or another."
Seth Grahame-Smith is working on the screenplay for the film, and Keaton says it is going to be hard to turn it down now it seems that Burton is on board the project.
"It looks like [Burton] is involved," Keaton said. "And without giving too much away, we've talked to each other, and e-mailed each other, and if he's in, it's going to be hard not to be in."
Keaton returned to the big screen earlier this month with RoboCop, a movie that saw him star alongside Gary Oldman, Joel Kinnaman and Samuel L. Jackson.
Keaton has also completed work on Need For Speed - which is based on the popular video game - and Birdman.
