Michael Fassbender is the latest actor to be linked with a role in Star Wars Episode VII.
It is yet to be announced just who exactly will be on the cast list for the JJ Abrams directed movie, but it there are a lot of names that are in the mix.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Abrams has allegedly met with Fassbender and Hugo Weaving to discuss possible roles in the upcoming film.
They have also reported that the story will now focus on Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Hans Solo, and not their children as originally believed.
It is expected that Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford will be reprising their original roles, but it is yet to be confirmed that they are on board.
Saoirse Ronan, Benedict Cumberbatch, Ryan Gosling and Simon Pegg are just some of the names that have been linked or suggested for the new instalment of the franchise.
It was back in 2005 that we last saw a Star Wars movie on the big screen with Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith.
Now Disney has bought LucasFilm from Star Wars creator George Lucas, and this will be their first film.
Star Wars Episode VII is expected to hit the big screen in 2015.
