Michael Caine says that the Youth script is one of the 'best' that he has read in some time.

Caine is set to return to the big screen in the new year with Youth, which sees him team up with writer and director Paolo Sorrentino.
The movie will see Caine take on the central role and Sorrentino has penned the script especially for the Oscar winner... and Caine was thrilled to land a lead role.
"Firstly, Paolo had just won an Academy Award and it was written for me. I was amazed. The most amazing thing about it was it was called Youth and I am starring in it. It is one of the best scripts that I have had. I usually don't play leading parts in movies anymore because I am too lazy, but this one I had to do."
Youth sees Caine team up with Rachel Weisz, Paul Dano, and Harvey Keitel, while Youth is the first feature film for Sorrentino since The Great Beauty back in 2013.
Youth marks the first time that he has teamed up with Sorrentino and he had nothing but nice things to say about the filmmaker.
"He is fabulous. He understand actors completely. You have to remember, he wrote the script and so he knew what he wanted out of it. He has a wonderful way of communicating with you."
We haven't seen Caine on the big screen since the success of Kingsman: The Secret Service earlier this year but he will be back next week with The Last Witch Hunter, which sees him team up with Vin Diesel, Rose Leslie, and Elijah Wood.
Caine has also completed work on Going in Style and Now You See Me 2, which are both set to hit the big screen next year. 2016 is going to be a great year if you are a Michael Caine fan has he has a trio of exciting films on the horizon.
Youth is released 29th January 2016.
