Melissa McCarthy's 'Life of the Party' has got a release date.
The comedy from the 'Spy' star and her husband, 42-year-old Ben Falcone, is due to hit cinemas on May 11, 2018.
New Line's college set comic romp stars 33-year-old Gillian Jacobs as a sorority girl and although the plot is very much under wraps at the moment the film is set to have a similar plot to 1987 movie 'Back to School', which starred Rodney Dangerfield as businessman Thornton Melon who enrols in college to help his son graduate.
If Jacobs plays a sorority sister it suggests that McCarthy, 45, will be enrolling in college as her mother.
McCarthy and Falcone co-wrote the script and Falcone is set to direct the film.
David Siegel is executive producing the comedy, and it is due to start filming in Atlanta in August.
Jacobs recently wrapped season two of Netflix's 'Love', the Judd Apatow-produced romantic series in which she stars with Paul Rust. She also stars in 'Don't Think Twice' alongside Keegan-Michael Key and Kate Micucci.
McCarthy can currently be seen in the all new, all-female 'Ghostbusters' reboot which has earned her and her co-stars - Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones - rave reviews for their performances as the spook fighting squad.
