Melissa McCarthy wants a sequel to 'The Heat'.
The 'Bridesmaids' actress has revealed she would love to join Sandra Bullock for a follow-up film because she had a blast shooting the brand new comedy, which sees the pair play an FBI agent and a police detective and who team up to bring down a Russian mafia boss.
Asked about the possibility of a second movie, she told Access Hollywood: "I would do anything with that group of people again - in a heartbeat."
Sandra revealed she was open to the idea and joked the hilarious duo could make the most of their on-screen chemistry by filming a live sequel.
She quipped: "I think Melissa and I have decided we're gonna do a live sequel. We're gonna perform sort of neighbourhood to neighbourhood, sort of live interpretations, sort of do a modern interpretation... it's got different flavours, but live."
It seems the leading ladies' wishes could come true, since director Paul Feig also hinted he was planning on turning the laugh-out-loud flick into a franchise.
Paul said: "It screams [a sequel] to me. I would love to get these two ladies together again. I want to see them out fighting crime and making people laugh in other situations, so fingers crossed."
