Matthew McConaughey has described a sequel to Magic Mike as something that is 'legitimately brewing'.
Magic Mike enjoyed critical and box office success when it was released last year as Steven Soderbergh returned to the director's chair.
McConaughey starred alongside Channing Tatum and Alex Pettyfer and there has been a lot of talk of a sequel since the movie dropped.
Speaking to MTV News the actor said: "I haven't talked to Channing [Tatum] in about a month. I know it's something that's legitimately brewing.
But I think he's taking some time off too because he's about to be a new dad, and good for him to do that too cause he's been cranking it out for a while."
Magic Mike was made for just $7 million and it grossed in excess of $167 million at the global box office.
While there may be a sequel in the pipeline it is not year clear which characters will be returning and if Soderbergh will direct.
As for McConaughey he has a busy year ahead with the release of Mud and The Wolf of Wall Street.
He is currently working on Dallas Buyers Club while Thunder Run is also in the pipeline.
