Matthew McConaughey says that his new movie Mud is a film that makes you question how much you believe in true love?
The actor is back on the big screen later this year as he teams up with director Jeff Nichols.
McConaughey talks a little bit about his character and hints that the movie will raise some questions.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter the actor said: "I'm on the run from the law. I killed a man who hurt my girl and I meet (Tye's character) and his friend and we actually end up helping each other out and form a pretty good friendship.
"The story really follows him and this form of love and this coming of age - how much do you believe in true love, how much do you remain a romantic?"
Michael Shannon, Reese Witherspoon and Sam Shepard are on the cast list alongside McConaughey while we are introduced to Tye Sheridan.
It has been a great year for the actor with Magic Mike and Killer Joe under his belt.
He has also completed work on The Wolf of Wall Street and is currently filming Dallas Buyers Club.
