Mark Wahlberg has heaped praise on Russell Crowe calling him on one of 'the greatest living actors'.
The pair team up for the first time in new crime thriller Broken City and Wahlberg says he was a formidable opponent.
Speaking to Flicks and Bits the actor said: "Russell Crowe is one of the greatest living actors, and he's also very charming. On set, he was the mayor.
"[Crowe] certainly charms my character Billy, but once he realises that the Mayor is corrupt, Billy has got to take him down.
"There's no more formidable opponent than Russell, and Broken City is really about us going at it.
"Russell is somebody I've admired for a long time... and not just living actors, I think he's one of the great actors of all time."
Broken City is directed by Allen Hughes while Catherine Zeta Jones and Jeffrey Wright are also on the cast list.
Broken City is just one of the movies that we will be seeing Wahlberg star in this year as Lone Survivor, Pain & Gain and 2 Guns are all in the pipeline.
Broken City is released 1st March
