Mark Strong has revealed that he 'loved' making The Imitation Game and is thrilled with the way that the movie is being received.
Strong takes on the role of Stewart Menzies in the new film, which explores the cracking of the Enigma Code during the Second World War and who was involved.
The movie sees Strong star alongside Benedict Cumberbatch, Keira Knightley, and Charles Dance, while Morten Tyldum is in the director's chair.
Speaking to Collider, the actor said: "I loved making The Imitation Game and it's really gratifying to hear the audience's response to the character that I play.
It was just a little thing that I did because I really liked the film and I liked Benedict (Cumberbatch) and I loved Morten's (director Morten Tyldum) previous film, Headhunters.
"For me, it was something I did thinking, ;Wow, this is a lovely quality piece of work.' To find out that it's turned into quite the amazing film that you have is really the bonus."
The Imitation Game won the People's Choice Award for Best Film at the Toronto International Film Festival before going on to open the BFI London Film Festival last month.
The movie has been met well by critics and audiences so far, and is one of the movies that is already tipped for possible Oscar glory next year.
As for Strong, he has already completed work on Ad Inexplorata and Kingsman: The Secret Service, which sees him reunite with director Matthew Vaughn.
He is currently filming Grimsby, which also stars Penelope Cruz and Isla Fisher and sees Louis Leterrier in the director's chair.
The Imitation Game is released 14th November.
