Mark Ruffalo has completed filming on Thor: Ragnarok.
The actor is set to reprise the role of Bruce Banner aka Hulk in the third solo Thor movies - this is the first time that we have seen this character feature outside the Avengers franchise.
The actor took to Instagram to announce that he has finished filming. He posted a picture of himself with director Taika Waititi, writing: "Waititi and "Ruffles" on the set of #Thor3 last day. Had such a great good fun time making this movie. Thanks @taikawaititi @chrishemsworth , @tessamaethompson @marvel for the love and the laughs."
Ruffalo is not the only new face on the Thor: Ragnarok cast list as Cate Blanchett, Jeff Goldblum, and Karl Urban will be introduced as Hela, Grandmaster, and Skurge.
Chris Hemsworth is back in the title role and will reunite with Tom Hiddleston Idris Elba, and Anthony Hopkins, who will reprise the roles of Loki, Heimdall, and Odin.
Taika Waititi follows in the footsteps of Kenneth Branagh and Alan Taylor as he takes up the director's chair on a Marvel film for the first time.
Waititi has brought us movies such as What We Do in the Shadows and Hunt for the Wilderpeople but this is the biggest film of his career to date.
Stephany Folsom, Craig Kyle, Eric Pearson, and Christopher Yost have teamed up to pen the film's screenplay, which is based on the comic book by Jack Kirby, Stan Lee, and Larry Lieber.
As for Ruffalo, Thor: Ragnarok will be his next big screen outing, after enjoying success with both Spotlight and Now You See Me 2 already this year.
Thor: Ragnarok is released 27th October 2017.
