Marion Cotillard wants to play a man.
The 38-year-old French actress has revealed that the next box she wants to tick on her list of career aspirations is to transform into a member of the opposite sex on screen.
And she also wants to explore comedy after making a cameo appearance in 'Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues', which was a stark contrast to her usual dark roles.
She told The Observer magazine: "The dream is to do comedy. Comedians I know like Will Ferrell, Jonah Hill, Jean Dujardin, are some of the best human observers. Comedy has deep insights into our human defects that somehow affect the audience more deeply than tragedy.
"Oh! And I'd like to play a man."
However, the 'Inception' star admits she may have to give up acting altogether in order to continue with her other passion, which is to raise awareness of environmental issues.
Speaking about her position as an ambassador for Greenpeace, she explained: "Campaigning and acting aren't compatible. That's why Audrey Hepburn gave up acting. That's why Angeline Jolie will give up. I'm not ready to stop yet."
