Margot Robbie is set to star and produce 'Bad Monkeys'.
Robbie - who has recently been cast as Jane in 'The Legend of Tarzan' - has landed two roles in the upcoming psychological thriller, which is based on Matt Ruff's novel of the same name.
In addition to her starring role the blonde beauty will join fellow producers Scott Stuber - who worked on the comedy movie 'Central Intelligence' - as well as the mastermind behind 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' blockbuster Dylan Clark, while LuckyChap Entertainment Company's Josey McNamara will serve as executive producer.
The forthcoming production will see the lead character Jane Charlotte arrested for murder. However Jane claims she is a member of a secret organisation devoted to fighting evil and working with Bad Monkeys - also known as the Department for the Final Disposition of Irredeemable Persons - to get out on bail.
However, after confessing to the murder Jane ends up in the jail's psychiatric wing and is subjected to countless hours of intense interrogation by a professional.
Meanwhile, Margot also stars in the upcoming fantasy crime film 'Suicide Squad' based on the DC Comics alongside supermodel Cara Delevingne, Will Smith and Jared Leto, which will see her play the role as Harley Quinn in the Warner Bros production, although she has admitted she accepted the role without seeing the script.
Speaking previously, she said: "I never really thought to myself, 'Oh, I want to be in a comic-book movie'. When I first about it I was about to do a different project, and they said, 'Before you sign on for that, would you consider playing Harley Quinn?'
"I was like, 'Okay, can I read the script?' And they were like, 'There's no script.' 'Okay, is there anyone attached?' 'No one attached.' '... Is there a director?' 'Yeah, David Ayer.' And I was like, 'Well, I'm in!' And that was kind of it!"
