Margot Robbie has described her role in Suicide Squad as 'intimidating.'
Robbie is one of the names of the all-star cast as she has landed the role of Harley Quinn in the adaptation of the popular D.C. comic.
Filming is due to get underway later this year, and Robbie is already aware of the responsibility she has in bringing this character to the big screen.
Speaking to MTV News, the actress said: "Yeah, I guess it's intimidating because there's obviously a lot of people I want to please and a character I have to do justice, but it's a challenge.
"I'm definitely up for it, and hopefully I don't disappoint."
David Ayer is in the director's chair for the film, while Robbie is joined on the cast list by Will Smith, Jared Leto, Jai Courtney and Viola Davis, who are on board as Deadshot, The Joker, Boomerang, and Amanda Waller.
And while Robbie has landed the role of Quinn, she admits that she has not started to explore the character just yet. She added: "We haven't gotten too far into it. We're still pretty far off.
"I'm actually shooting a movie before that. So my focus is kind of on that at the moment. We haven't really gotten into the logistics of everything yet."
Robbie is an actress that we are going to be seeing plenty of year, as she is also set to star in Suite française and Z for Zachariah - a film that has been met really well at the Sundance Film Festival in the last week.
Before we see Robbie star with Will Smith in Suicide Squad, the pair will star together at the end of February in Focus. The actress is currently working on Tarzan, in which she has landed the role of Jane alongside Alexander Skarsgård and Christoph Waltz.
Suicide Squad is released 5th August 2016.
