A 'Man of Steel' sequel is already in the works.
Despite the Superman reboot only hitting cinemas this Friday (14.06.13), producers have already begun planning a follow-up film to the caped crime-fighter's adventures.
According to Deadline.com, Zack Snyder has agreed to reprise his role as director and David S. Goyer will return screenwriter.
This comes as no surprise since Goyer has signed a three-picture deal with movie studio Warner Bros. for 'Man Of Steel', its sequel, and a rumoured 'Justice League' movie, which would see Superman team up with DC Comics' best-loved superheroes including Batman and Wonder Woman.
It is being reported that producer Christopher Nolan's role won't be as "full blown" in the sequel due to prior filming commitments.
'Man of Steel' stars rising star Henry Cavill as the titular hero, whose human alter-ego Clark Kent falls for journalist Lois Lane, played by Amy Adams. Michael Shannon will portray villain General Zod, while Russell Crowe and Kevin Costner take on the roles of Superman's biological father Jor-El and his adoptive father Jonathan Kent, respectively.
Amy recently revealed fans would be blown away with Synder's brand new imagining of the classic comic book tale and the love story between Clark and Lois.
She said: "It's more raw, a little less quippy. Hopefully you'll enjoy the banter and relationship between Lois and Clark, but it's a totally new imagining of the story."
