George Miller says discussions about a Mad Max sequel are under way.
Miller returned to the director's chair earlier this year for a reboot in the popular Mad Max franchise - he had directed the original three movies in the late seventies and eighties.
Ever since the release and success of Mad Max: Fury Road, there has been a lot of talk and speculation about a second film and it looks like it is inching closer to going ahead.
Speaking to Deadline, the filmmaker said: "The more I speculate about what's happening, the more I try to avoid spoilers this far out, and also I find myself talking around in circles.
"So the best thing I can say is that we're definitely in discussion about making more of these, but the timing of it, I'm really not sure. Probably won't be called Wasteland. I can say that. It was just the working title we gave it."
Mad Max: Fury Road was released to critical acclaim back in May and went on to gross in excess of $374 million at the global box office.
Tom Hardy took over the central role of Max Rockatansky, while Charlize Theron and Nicholas Hoult were also on board.
Hardy has already revealed that he had signed a multi-picture deal for Mad Max and it has been hinted that Theron may not return for a potential second film.
Mad Max: Fury Road was the first time that we had seen Miller at the helm of this franchise since Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome in 1985 and the first time that he has been in the director's chair since Happy Feet 2 in 2011.
