If you are looking for a summer movie that is action packed and going to look spectacular... look no further than Mad Max: Fury Road.
The movie I see of this film the more I cannot wait to see the rest and the brand new trailer is high octane and explosive - it really does look like it is going to be a mad and furious ride from start to finish. Check out the great new trailer:
The movie sees Tom Hardy in the lead role of Max Rockatansky, as he teams up with both Charlize Theron and director George Miller for the first time.
Miller is no stranger to the Mad Max franchise, having directed the first three movies. However, this is his first film since Happy Feet Two back in 2011 and the first Mad Max film since Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome in 1985.
A terrific cast has been assembled for the film, as Hardy and Theron are joined by Zoe Kravitz, Nicholas Hoult, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Riley Keough, Nathan Jones, and Josh Helman.
Haunted by his turbulent past, Mad Max believes the best way to survive is to wander alone. Nevertheless, he becomes swept up with a group fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by an elite Imperator, Furiosa.
They are escaping a Citadel tyrannized by the
Immortan Joe, from whom something irreplaceable has been taken. Enraged, the Warlord marshals all his gangs and pursues the rebels ruthlessly in the high-octane Road War that follows.
There are some great blockbusters movies heading our way between now and the end of the summer, but I doubt very much that we will see another film like Mad Max: Fury Road this year. I have my fingers tightly crossed that it is going to live up to all of what the trailer promises.
Mad Max: Fury Road is released 14th May.
