Lynda Carter says she is glad to see Wonder Woman returning to the big screen.
Carter famously took on the role of Wonder Woman in the TV series from 1975 to 1979, but now the character is set to make an appearance in Batman vs Superman.
Batman vs Superman will be the sequel to Man of Steel and will see Gadot star alongside Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck.
And Carter believes that be re-introduced as a supporting role is a smart move.
Speaking to Metro, the actress said: "Maybe that's better. She won't have to carry the whole film. It takes the pressure off.
"I wish her well. I'm just glad she's going to be out there again. Maybe she'll get her own show again."
Batman vs Superman will see Zack Snyder return to the director's chair, and filming is set to get underway on the film next year.
Gadot is best known for her role in the Fast & Furious franchise, but Wonder Woman is set to be the biggest role of her career to date.
It is believed that Gadot fought off tough competition from the likes of Jaimie Alexander and Olga Kurylenko for the role.
Batman vs Superman will be released in 2015.
