Luke Evans has joined the cast of High Rise.
High Rise will mark the return of Ben Wheatley to the director's chair, as Evans teams up with the filmmaker for the first time.
High Rise is the first feature film for Wheatley since A Field in England - he has been working on Doctor Who - and is based on the novel by J.G. Ballard.
Tom Hiddleston, Sienna Miller, and Jeremy Irons are already on board, and now Evans has joined the project: his role in the film is now yet known.
Adapted for the big screen by Amy Jump, High Rise follows the take of life in a modern tower block which is running out of control.
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug was the last time that we saw Evans on the big screen, but he is set to return later this year with Dracula Untold and The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.
The Battle of the Five Armies will see Evans reprise the role of Bard, and will bring the trilogy to a close.
High Rise is currently in pre-production, and no UK release date has yet been announced.
