Luke Evans has revealed that Dracula will be an origins story.
The British actor is set to play the title character in the Gary Shore directed movie and he has given a little hint as to what we can expect from the film.
Speaking to ShockTillYouDrop.com the actor said: "It has been a while since a Dracula movie has been made. It's the origin story, not the old Dracula story we're used to seeing, which is great and incredible.
"But this is about the origin, Vlad the Impaler who lived in the 1400s - this man whose family and people are under threat, the decision that he makes and the outcome of the decision that he makes which changes his life and the life of his family and people he's king over.
"It's an interesting tug of war because he's turning himself into this dark, dark creature, essentially, that will never be able to turn around and go back."
As if one iconic role was not enough for the actor we are also going to be seeing Evans start work on a remake of The Crow.
But before all that he is back on the big screen this week as he joins the cast list of Fast & Furious 6.
He will also be starring in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug - as we are introduced to the character of Bard the Bowman for the first time in the second movie.
