Joss Whedon has revealed that there will be no Loki in Avengers 2.
Loki was the villain in Avengers Assemble last summer but it seems that Tom Hiddleston will not be reprising the role for the sequel.
Speaking to Empire the director said: "Everyone is going to be looking for the Loki-Hulk smash moment and you'll be looking for [a quim moment].
"First of all, imitating what I did before is the surest way to do it not as well. Second of all, Loki's not there to say those terrible things.
"Although I do think we should bring the word back, not as an insult, it's just a nice word."
Filming is due to get underway at the beginning of next year but no cast has been officially announced.
It is believed that the Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson and Mark Ruffalo will all be back while Quicksliver and Scarlet Witch are a couple of the new characters that are going to be involved.
However if you are a fan of Hiddleston's depiction of Loki then he will be returning to the big screen this autumn in Thor: The Dark World.
Avengers 2 is released summer 2015.
