Linda Hamilton and Abbie Cornish have joined the cast of Anna Nicole Smith movie 'Trust Me, I’m A Doctor'.
The 'Terminator' actress and the 'Limitless' star will appear alongside Kal Penn in the movie, which is based on the memoir of Dr. Sandeep Kapoor.
Penn is due to portray Kapoor, who was implicated into the death of his former patient, model Smith - who passed away in 2007 aged 39 of combined drug intoxication - before being acquitted.
According to Deadline, Cornish is due to play Smith in the film, which is from writer-director Thane Economou.
Hamilton will portray Ellyn Garafalo, the attorney who was Kapoor's legal counsel during the drug conspiracy trial.
Cornish admitted it is a "dream" role to portray Smith.
She said: "Playing Anna Nicole Smith is such a dream.
"I am honoured to have been chosen by our amazing producers and talented writer/director, Thane Economou.
"And I am so excited to work with our incredible cast and crew.
"I am blessed to stand alongside the charismatic and gifted Kal Penn and tell the tale of this moment in history.
"There are so many layers and chapters to Anna’s life story that I look forward to embodying on screen with all of my heart and soul. Truly grateful."
Penn admitted he didn't know about Kapoor's "wild story".
He said: "We all know the tragic story of the iconic Anna Nicole Smith, but very few of us - myself included - knew much about her young doctor: flamboyant, old school, blurring the lines between patient and acquaintance, and ultimately arrested and charged following her death.
"It’s a wild story brought to life in an especially tremendous script."
