Disney is working on a live action movie centred on Cruella de Vil.
The family-friendly picture studio has hired screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna - who penned the studio's reboot of 'Cinderella' - to write the script for the film, which will follow the puppy fur-loving fashionista from '101 Dalamatians'.
The proposed film is in the early stages of production with the studio remaining silent on its latest take on the nasty character.
Andrew Gun - known for 'Sky High' and 'Bedtime Stories' - will produce the movie alongside McKenna, while Glenn Close - who memorably played the character in 1996's '101 Dalmatians' and again in the 2000 sequel '102 Dalmatians' - will act as executive producer.
'Cruella de Vil' is based on Dodie Smith's 1956 novel 'The Hundred and One Dalmatians', which follows the evil lady as she kidnaps Dalmatian puppies for their fur before skinning them and turning them into items of clothing.
The movie marks Disney's latest live action adaptation of one of its hit animated films, following their upcoming remake of 'Cinderella'.
The fairytale movie will be directed by Kenneth Branagh and will star Lily James, Cate Blanchett and Helena Bonham Carter.
