Christopher Doyle has launched a stunning attack on Life Of Pi's win for Best Cinematography at the Oscar calling it an insult to cinematography.
Doyle has worked as director of photography on the likes of Magic Mike and believes that there was too much CGI in the film for it to win a cinematography award.
Claudio Miranda scooped the award on the night as Life of Pi won four Oscars.
Speaking to BlouinArtinfo he said: "I'm trying to work out how to say this most politely, and no offence to - I don't know him (Miranda) personally - but what a total f**king piece of s**t.
"I'm sure he's a wonderful guy and I'm sure he cares so much, but since 97% of the film is not under his control, what the f**k are you talking about cinematography... I think it's a f**king insult to cinematography.
"I'm sure he's a wonderful person, I'm sure he cares so much. But what it says to the real world is it's all about us, we have the money, we put the money in, and we control the image.
Life of Pi saw off the challenge from Anna Karenina, Django Unchained, Lincoln and Skyfall to scoop the Best Cinematography gong.
