Liev Schreiber has revealed that there have been discussions about him reprising the role of Sabretooth in the third solo Wolverine movie.
We saw Schreiber take on the role for the first time in X-Men Origins: Wolverine alongside Hugh Jackman back in 2009.
We haven't seen the character since but Schreiber admits that the old man Logan story is something that does appeal to him.
Speaking to MTV News, the actor said: "We talked about it. I don't know. He's mentioned it to me. The Old Man Logan story - that's appealing. That's something that I can do. Old, being the operative word."
This will be the third and final solo Wolverine movie and while the plot is being kept under wraps, it has been hinted that the old man Logan story will be explored.
Jackman is already getting back in shape for the film and will reunite with filmmaker James Mangold for their second Wolverine project together.
There is still no word on who else may be alongside Jackman on the cast list.
As for Schreiber, we haven't seen him on the big screen since The 5th Wave at the beginning of the year. But the actor has a couple of projects in the pipeline for 2016.
He has already completed work on The Bleeder and Goon: Last of the Enforcers, the latter is a sequel to the 2011 movie Goon and will see him reprise the role of Ross Rhea.
The Bleeder will see him star alongside partner Naomi Watts with Ron Perlman and Elisabeth Moss completing the cast list.
The as yet untitled Wolverine film is set to hit the big screen 2nd March 2017.
