A new adaptation of the Tarzan legend is set to swing into cinemas this summer and we will see Alexander Skarsgård play the loincloth wearing hero for the first time.

The Legend of Tarzan is set to be one of the big summer blockbusters as we see David Yates return to the director's chair. Yates is no stranger to the blockbuster genre with the Harry Potter films under his belt and it is great to see him back.
In fact, The Legend of Tarzan kicks off a busy year for the filmmaker as this is one of two films that will hit the big screen in 2016 - Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is the other.

A fantastic cast has been assembled for the film as Skarsgård stars alongside Margot Robbie, Samuel L. Jackson, Christoph Waltz, John Hurt, Jim Broadbent, and Djimon Hounsou.
It has been years since the man once known as Tarzan (Skarsgård) left the jungles of Africa behind for a gentrified life as John Clayton, Lord Greystoke, with his beloved wife, Jane (Robbie) at his side.
Now, he has been invited back to the Congo to serve as a trade emissary of Parliament, unaware that he is a pawn in a deadly convergence of greed and revenge, masterminded by the Belgian, Leon Rom (Waltz). But those behind the murderous plot have no idea what they are about to unleash.
The Legend of Tarzan is released 8th July.
