Kristen Stewart found auditioning for Woody Allen's new movie a "stretch"
Although the 'American Ultra' star wasn't able to reveal too much information about the untitled movie because the Hollywood filmmaker doesn't let people talk about his work before it's release date, she recalled the experience and awkwardness of not having any idea about the character, which she said was a "stretch".
Kristen explained: "It's weird, you're not supposed to talk about Woody Allen movies before they're out, but I think I'm probably allowed to generally say it's a stretch for me. And so I just wasn't sure. So, I just cold read, and I was like, 'I have no concept of [the character]."
The 25-year-old actress - who's most famous for playing Bella Swan in the 'Twilight' franchise - loved the chance to "prove" herself because as a well-established star, she is usually thrown into films.
Speaking on American chat show 'Live With Kelly and Michael' she said: "It made me - I hadn't been that exceptionally nervous in a long time - in that context,
"But it feels good to prove yourself because it's weird when people just hand you roles, and you're like, 'You've never even met me. You might hate me. You're gonna spend three months making this thing.'"
