Kristen Stewart says she can't believe that she agreed to take on a remake on 1984.
Stewart and Nicholas Hoult are set to play lovers in Equals, which is a re-imagining of the George Orwell novel.
Speaking to the Associated Press about the film, Stewart said: "I can't believe I agreed to do it. I'm terrified of it.
"Though it's a movie with a really basic concept, it's overtly ambitious. It's a love story of epic, epic, epic proportion. I'm scared."
Drake Doremus will be in the director's chair for the film, while Nathan Parker has penned the screenplay.
Doremus has delivered movies such as Spooner and Like Crazy in recent years, but this will be his first film since Breathe In back in 2013.
As for Stewart, her latest film Camp X-Ray is on the programme at the Sundance Film Festival - which gets underway today.
She has also completed work on Sils Maria and Anaesthesia. She has also been linked to The Big Shoe and a Snow White and the Huntsman sequel.
