Kristen Bell has been praised by producer Peter Del Vecho for bringing the character alive in Frozen.
Bell has lent her voice to the new Disney movie, which is based on The Snow Queen by Hans Christian Anderson.
He told BANG Showbiz: "It was important that each character came alive, so we were looking for actors with great vocals and the ability to act with their voices.
"A lot of actor's skills lay in their visuals so it's always more important to have a compelling voice rather than a big name."
Bell is joined on the voice cast list by Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad.
The movie sees Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck team up in the director's chair; Lee becomes the first woman to ever direct a Disney movie.
Frozen is the fifth Disney movie that Del Vecho has worked on having produced Winnie the Pooh, The Princess and the Frog, Chicken Little and Treasure Planet.
Frozen is out now.
