Kristen Wiig says that he her new movie, Girl Most Likely, is not a comedy.
The actress has teamed up with directors Shari Springer and Robert Pulcini for her latest film, in which she will play a failed playwright.
And while Wiig says that there are funny moments in the film she would not call it a comedy.
Speaking to the Wall Street Journal the actress said: "I never really describe it as a comedy.
"There are funny moments but for the most part it's just a real, touching story about someone trying to find her life and get over a bad break-up."
Wiig leads an all star cast that includes Annette Bening, Matt Dillon and Darren Criss.
The actress is already enjoying box office success this summer as she lent her voice to Despicable Me 2.
She has completed work on The Skeleton Twins, Hateship Loveship, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and Anchorman: The Legend Continues.
She will also be returning to animation as she lends her voice to How To Train Your Dragon 2; which will be hitting the big screen next year.
Girl Most Likely, is released 27th September.
