Kevin Feige says he doesn't expect Marvel to be able to reclaim the rights for Spider Man and X-Men any time soon.

While there has been plenty of talk of seeing the likes of Spider Man and Wolverine in future Avengers movies, the possibility does seem rather unlikely.

Sony Picture and 20th Century Fox currently have the rights to the two franchises - which are based on Marvel comics - and it looks like it is going to stay that way.

Speaking to The Playlist, Feige said: "Well, I've gotten into the habit of saying never say never, because when I was starting with Lauren [Shuler Donner, producer] on the first "X-Men" movie, if you'd said "You'll do "The Avengers" someday,' I would not have believed you.

"But the contracts are such that as long as they keep making those movies, they can keep making those movies. So I don't see that changing any time soon."

The Amazing Spider Man 2 and X-Men Days of Future Past will both be hitting the big screen next year.

Despite not having the rights to Spider Man and X-Men, Marvel have been doing ok for themselves with their last two movies - Iron Man 3 and Avengers Assemble - both breaking $1 billion at the box office.
