Kenneth Branagh has described the Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit as 'unputdownable'.
Branagh is back in the director's chair to helm to reboot of the Jack Ryan as the Tom Clancy comes back to the big screen.
Branagh is on board as an actor as well as director, but this his first directorial outing since Thor in 2011.
Speaking to Collider he said: "The script arrived and it was unputdownable. It came out of the blue. I was going to be making another movie, it went away, and this one came to me, and I read it and responded very strongly as a kind of film I go to see.
"The script engaged me because it was a page-turner but this big personal story that you’re invested in at the heart of it."
Branagh has brought together an all-star cast for the film as Chris Pine, Kevin Costner and Keira Knightley are all also on board.
Branagh has another directing project on the horizon as well, as he has recently completed work on a live-action version of Cinderella.
Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit is released 24th January.
