Keanu Reeves wants to make a new 'Matrix' movie.
The 52-year-old actor - who starred as hacker Neo in the iconic movie trilogy - has revealed he would relish the chance to reprise the role, but admitted he didn't know whether the directors, Lana and Lilly Wachowski, would be keen on the idea.
Keanu shared: "I don't know about the Wachowskis. They would probably do something really original. I'd certainly like to see what would happen and more exploration of that world."
But the Hollywood star also revealed he was undecided about the prospect of the sci-fi franchise going down the remake route.
He told the Metro newspaper: "Don't do that. Not a remake. But you could actually. I think what's cool ... When a story gets embraced, then if it has a tradition, and it becomes to have a lineage.
"I think it's cool that when another time takes that story and makes it their own, so I wouldn't categorically say that would be bad."
This comes shortly after Keanu revealed he is currently working on a new 'Bill & Ted' movie.
Asked whether he still planned to make a follow-up to 1989's 'Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure', Keanu replied: "Bill and Ted are still alive. The writers have a story and we're trying to make it."
Keanu also teased the plot of the new film, revealing that the two central characters are now grown men living with the pressures of family life and crumbling marriages, who are called upon to save the world again by writing a song.
He said: "Basically, they're supposed to write a song to save the world and they haven't done that.
"The pressure of having to save the world, their marriages are falling apart, their kids are kind of mad at them, and then someone comes from the future and tells them if they don't write the song it's just not the world, it's the universe. So they have to save the universe because time is breaking apart."
